Looking for a new way to get involved with Sole Hope?
WE ARE EXCITED TO LAUNCH…
SOLE HOPE-CARE KIT PARTIES!
Before each pair of feet is fitted with new shoes, they are cleaned and treated medically. Some people require minimal care and others require extensive care and a stay at the Outreach House. You can now help by gathering medical supplies needed and host our newest party –
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something! Hosting a Sole Hope Care Kit Party is not only fun & easy, but it is another way to tangibly be part of the impact and change happening in Uganda.
Care Kit Parties are perfect for almost any age. Our online Care Kit Party Kit is $20 and includes instructional materials and sponsorships for 10 Kits. For each additional kit you send in over 10, please include $2.00 per kit to cover the cost of sponsorship.
Grab your friends, family, or coworkers, and help pack Care Kits for Sole Hope! Care Kits contain the same basic medical supplies Sole Hope uses at clinic outreaches but they are portioned out into individual packs to be used for at-home care by those being treated at our Outreach House. When paired with an educational booklet, basin, and soap, these Kits hold just what these families need to stay jigger free.

Where can I find the list of things that are actually in the care kits which we will need to purchase?”
Also, if we currently have a shoe cutting collection of already cut shoes, do you want us to send them now or wait until you start collecting them again. I know I held on to mine way too long. It was a project with the Elders I work with and we were aiming high, for their age (94). Didn’t quite make it but now I have a whole box ready to send and I hear that you aren’t doing that anymore. My fault for hanging on to them so long. Just would like some direction as to what to do with them now that we have them.
Jennifer,
The list of supplies that need to go in the Care Kits are listed in the instructional booklet. There are 7 items very easily purchased at the Dollar Store. If you have shoes ready to go along with sponsorship please go ahead and send them! We are still happy to take them! We appreciate your support!
Shoot, I taped the box shut before I wrote the address to send my package to you. Please give me the correct mailing address. Thank you.
I would like to host a care kit party. I have read through your website but still not sure how the process works. Are we gathering funds or is there a “hands on process” involved?
Janelle,
Thank you for asking! It is both. The kit that you purchase provides the funds for 10 kits that you will make. If you make more than 10 kits you will need to include $2.00 per kit. The instructions (in the Care Kit) explain how to gather very simple medical supplies and assemble them. Then you will send those medical kits back to us to be handed out in Uganda. If you have any further questions please email party@solehope.org!
I have misplaced the person to get in touch with about someone coming to our church on Feb. 11, 2018 to discuss how our Open Door Circle can get involved making shoes or donating to Sole Hope. Please advise as soon as possible as I have to give information to our circle on Mon. Jan. 8, 2018. We are a mission minded circle of Faith Baptist Faith in Faith, NC and we are hoping this could be one of our mission projects for our Feb. meeting.
Thank you.
Judy,
Please email holly@solehope.org! Thank you!
I have sent my dvd and materials to a family member in México for her to host shoe cutting party. This was done before the new changes. Can it still be accepted?
Also, I sent a video info. for advocacy in the state of Michigan.
Looking forward to hear from you Ashley! 🙂
Olivia Billings
Olivia,
Yes! If they send in sponsorship with the shoes than we will be happy to accept them! You should be hearing from someone soon to set up a phone call for the Advocate Program!
I would like to get a shoe kit. I did one with my daughter and we had 50 shoe kits. I also would like to make care kits . I am planning a party (or parties) for the fall.
Marie,
Thank you for wanting to help! At this time Shoe Party Kits are unavailable to purchase. We would love for you to get your Care Kit and have a party and then do a Shoe Party in the Fall when they relaunch!
Hello,
I’m not really sure how the care kit party works. We have to pay $20 to get the care kit, but then we still need to go out, buy supplies, package them, and mail them back correct? If so, what is included in the care kit only, and what does the $20 cover?
Thank,
Adrienne Rozario
Adrienne,
Thank you for asking! The kit costs $20.00 it comes with instructions, printable, and videos. The cost of this purchase covers the sponsorship of 10 Care Kits. Each Care Kit needs to include a $2.00 sponsorship (to finish purchasing the supplies in Uganda), so your purchase sponsors the first 10 that are made at your party. Then yes, you ask your guests to bring the other supplies to the party and put them all together! If you have any further questions please email party@solehope.org! Thank you!
Just wanting to make sure, if we want to do the cutting party and we are able to fund all the shoes that we send it, shall we still send them? If so, how can I get a new envelope and maybe a new pattern? I have the DVD and other information.
Catie,
Right now we are not offering Shoe Parties, so you can not get new materials. If you would just wait until we re-launch and purchase a new and GREATLY improved kit that would be awesome! Thank you!
Hello Sole Hope,
I am in charge of a service project for our 4 day girls camp in August. The shoesnwouod have been perfect becuase each one of these girls could gather the supplies before the camp and we could make and assemble them together along with your video. Since you are not accepting them
Now, is therr another item like the shoes that we could
Make and /or assemble. I understand the health kits but wondering if there was anything else or will you ever go back to the shoes? I need to nail this down soon to get the word out so would love to hear from you soon if possible. There are a bout 60 girls ready to serve. Thanks for all you do
Janine,
Sorry I didn’t see your comment before now! Currently the Care Kits are the only type of hands on service project that we are offering. I hope you have a great camp!
Our American Heritage Girls Troop had planned to host a Sole Party on 9/16. Will that be after your relaunch?
Should we plan on cancelling that. A care kit party is really not going to take very long. You put the itmes in a bag and that is it correct?
We wanted to do service for several hours.
Cynthia,
If you already have your Shoe Party kit you are welcome to still do the party. Otherwise if you could push it back to later in the fall the Shoe Party kits will be back and you can host a party then!
I am getting ready to purchase the Care Kit. Is there something my 7th graders can send to keep the children distracted while their feet are getting taken care of?
Kim,
Thank you for the sweet offer! We actually have some glitter sticks that we pass around, and each child also gets a Dum Dum sucker and a sticker to help distract them.
That’s a great question!
Just ordered the Care Kit download and it has an error code.
Please Help,
Kim
Kim,
I hope you’ve been in contact with someone, but if not, please email amy@solehope.org. Thank you!
Hello! Do you have a date when the shoe party kits will be available? I would like to host a party next week.
thanks!
Twenty-five more kits will be available on November 1st at 9 Eastern Time! We will list 25 more kits on the first of every month.
Hi! Is it OK to mail our completed medical care kits back to you in multiple boxes instead of one box? Thanks!
Dana! That would be just fine. Thank you for hosting a Care Kit Party and helping joining us in that way!!
