Sole Hope Experience: Journey of Hope

We invite you to journey with us to Uganda to see firsthand the work being done. Come experience HOPE!

This experience will give you opportunities to learn, serve, connect, and fall in love with Uganda and its people. Our hope is that you walk away from this trip with a greater understanding of the problems facing the people of Uganda, an appreciation of the unique culture and country in which they live, a deeper connection to the mission of hope, and a stronger desire to advocate on behalf of those in need.

Choose hope. Take action. Come experience hope.

*At this time we are only accepting applications for trips from those residing in the USA and Canada.  We want to encourage anyone that lives in other countries to email ashley@solehope.org for more information about how you might join us in Uganda!

On this journey you can expect to:

  • Visit the Sole Hope facilities and connect with the staff

  • Participate in a Jigger Clinic

  • Volunteer at the The Hope Center

  • Explore Jinja town and the Source of the Nile

  • Get dirty (there’s nothing quite like the red dirt roads of Uganda)

  • Be challenged

  • Be changed

  • Have a one-of-a-kind experience

If you are ready for all of these things and more, now is your chance!

ABOUT YOUR LEADER:  Asher Singe

Asher is the founder of Sole Hope, an avid traveler & a lover of all things Uganda. She lived in Jinja, Uganda with her family for almost six years while establishing & running Sole Hope. As of July 2018, Asher relocated to Oklahoma with her husband Eric & 6 kiddos. In 2010 she fell in love with the culture & people of Uganda & her heart was forever changed. The year-round sunshine, joyous & hospitable people, simplicity, ‘go with the flow’ mentality & Sole Hope are some things that keep drawing her back to Uganda. A few things that make her heart happy are black coffee, essential oils, getting quality time with the people she loves, & being in Uganda. Asher absolutely hates flying, but she believes facing her fears, as well as the life-changing opportunities that await on the other side of the ocean, are 100% worth it.
